Japan Centre
Panton Street

Bluecrow Projects worked in conjunction with CADA Design to create London’s most loved Japanese supermarket.

On walking through the entrance on the timber effect floor tiles and past the bespoke counter on the first floor, you are greeted by a remarkable staircase feature with randomly suspended linear light fittings, parallel to the staircase a red tiled wall in a brick bond pattern taking you to the basement.

Once inside the basement decorated in light Japanese wood, the design consisted of unique and specialist rooms ranging from the Tea Room, Sake Room, Miso Room as well as the 100 seat dine-in courtyard. Just one of the many bespoke elements includes a Miso light display with a suspended burnished steel works frame with LED pendent lighting encapsulated with manila rope cut in an undulating pattern.
