STEM
Mayfair

STEM, a new restaurant from the team behind Neo Bistro and Anglo located just of Regent Street in an 18th Century building. The building’s listed status meant we had to be very sympathetic to the building and its features such as skirtings & coving along with the 18th Century feature wall in the basement which we had to leave boxed in behind a glass screen.

All joinery throughout was bespoke including the large wine wall which takes its inspiration from a similar feature on a cruise ship, just vastly scaled down to fit. Other bespoke items ranged from foot-rail seating, banquette seating finished in the aubergine with Onyx Grey laminate with brushed copper fixings to match the overall colour scheme.

The concrete with copper surround bar worktop was a lovely addition to the restaurant, made with macro cement finish and topped with beeswax to match the concrete floor tiles throughout the ground floor.

Then you have a second, lower ground level; a six-seat private chef’s black granite table with black brick slips on all walls and ceiling. This restaurant is a true love affair from start to finish.
