This is Oli, he is 17 and started working at Bluecrow Joinery in September 2022.

He’s doing a Bench Joinery Apprenticeship while also studying at Peterborough Community College to obtain my Level 2 NVQ and Diploma, and wants to progress to a Level 3 NVQ and Diploma in the coming years.

Oli told us, “at college I‘m learning the functional skills I need to perform my role, these including health and safety, principles of building and how to read technical drawings. While at work, I am learning how to complete joinery products under a senior member of staff, as well as how to safely use machines and power tools until, I’m deemed capable and my understanding of the workshop grows.”
