When I started thinking about HUMO two years ago, I had many ideas. I wanted create a very special place and this is a dream come true for me, I wanted to make sure that every detail had a story to tell and we had as much attention to all details as possible. Seeing the dream come to life and exceed the expectations in my mind has been a great experience. Working together we have achieved an amazing place where we can give our guests memories of a great meal.

Working with Bluecrow has been a breath of fresh air. The way in which they approach projects is a rarity in this industry and one which demonstrates real experience and professionalism. No one project is the same but we would have no hesitation with working with Bluecrow and their team again. There is a positive ‘can-do’ attitude right throughout their operation including their trusted sub-contractors who so clearly enjoy working with Bluecrow. There’s no doubt this is only possible with experience, great professional relationships and industry knowledge. It’s clear that this comes from running successful projects over many years and that’s the reason we’ll be working with them in the future. Not forgetting their PM and Site Manager who helped deliver a beautiful project.

The Bluecrow team were a joy to work with throughout this project. Their ‘can do’ approach to some really challenging design specs and finishes helped ensure that our new venue looks a million dollars.

Having had the pleasure to be introduced to Bluecrow via our wicked Design Team 3 Stories, we embarked on a fast-paced project that required a team that was tenacious, communicative and able to act quickly. The restaurant has far surpassed my expectations, in particular the incredible attention to detail on the joinery work.

This wasn’t just the first project we undertook with Bluecrow, but the first project we’ve ever undertaken at all! I can’t imagine opening our gelato shop without having Bluecrow by our side. Jon and Nev always communicated with us and never made us feel like we were being a bother, and did a better job than we could’ve imagined on the fit out. Mick made us feel extra involved with the whole process by having us come up to the joinery building and see our components as they completed them. Coming into this process, we had no idea what to expect or what questions to ask, but Bluecrow made sure they weren’t just doing their jobs but taking the time to make sure we understood everything going on as well. The entire team over at Bluecrow aren’t just phenomenal at their jobs, but additionally they’re just all-around good people who do everything they can to make sure you’re happy! Our gelato shop would not have come out as spectacular as it did without Bluecrow, and I can’t wait to work with them again in the future.

Eric and I were very impressed with Bluecrow right from the initial meeting. We were on quite a tight time frame and also it was during a rather busy time of year, so the pressure was on.  At no point did we feel concerned that the job would not be carried out. Stuart, the project manager was extremely efficient and organised and nothing was ever too much trouble. His relaxed and calm manner gave us much confidence and we were delighted with the end result. Hand over day was on time and any snags were noted and dealt with very swiftly. We would have no hesitation in recommending Bluecrow. We would certainly return to them in the future.

Bluecrow recently undertook an 8 week fit-out of our restaurant in Chinatown.  We could not be more pleased with the service we received from their team.  From the tender process, fit out, and handover, Bluecrow really went above and beyond in delivering a high quality fit-out.  George and Stuart in particular deserve special praise for accommodating last minute changes to spec and overcoming unforeseen obstacles.  We are extremely pleased with the results of their fit-out and we are excited to work with them again in the future.

This is the first project we have worked on with Bluecrow and have had no regrets as they delivered on every front with regards to their attention to detail and professionalism. Like any other project there were hurdles some bigger than others which Bluecrow approached as a challenge rather than a problem. Bluecrow delivered the vision that DesignLSM envisaged culminating with Felix Restaurant receiving the prestigious “FAB award 2019” presented at their annual awards dinner held in May 2019. What more can we say, but thank you Bluecrow for your the professionalism and workmanship we have come to expect.

I have worked with Bluecrow on our last 6 projects and from an Operators perceptive they are a joy to work with. They are on budget and most importantly for me on time. I have built a relationship with some of the team and the are always on hand to help with anything. I can only say that my experience of Bluecrow is very positive and will not hesitate to use their services again. Looking forward to starting project number 7 with George and the team. The Old Street site and our other units have a sense of real quality in the finish.

We have worked with Bluecrow on both our restaurants, The Palomar in 2014 and The Barbary in 2016. They have been professional, courteous and fair on every level. The work as always been on point and rectified if anything is ever remiss. But more than that, we like and respect them all enormously on a personal level and are really a joy to work alongside.

We worked with Bluecrow Projects on the fit-out of our 2nd restaurant on Brick Lane during the summer of 2016. Working the Bluecrow Projects was a pleasure. They quoted and carried out the work both efficiently and professionally. The build was relatively stress free and came in on time and budget. I would have no hesitation to work with them again and in recommending Bluecrow Projects to other clients.

Bluecrow recently undertook a 12 week project building the first of our restaurants. A tight timescale and budget put everyone under pressure. The project was headed by Site Director Jon Cordell who not only delivered the job on time and on budget but did so with an exemplary attitude and work ethic. I am aware I am a demanding client with exacting precision required across the build. Jon utilised his team brilliantly both in this efficiencies with labour and materials. The Bluecrow team have a clear focus on quality and Jon, as the accountable person, was always on site to manage and direct. This has not always been my experience with contractors. A friendly and conscientious bunch they were tolerant and accommodating when we traipsed everyone from investors to suppliers through their site, sticklers for health and safety they got their revenge by making us wear all the unattractive site ‘gear’. As stressful and costly as a build is Jon made it a pleasurable experience. We could not have delivered beyond all expectations without him and his fantastic team. I cannot recommend him and Bluecrow highly enough.

We had the pleasure of working with the Bluecrow team on the last four of our restaurant projects. They are very professional and well organised, as one would expect, and this is reflected in their time management and high quality of craftsmanship. They have a can do attitude, work hard to get things right for the client, and just as importantly go the extra mile to build good relationships with landlords. They are innovative when it comes to on-site problem solving, and with this hands on approach to ensuring design details are refined, the finishes and overall fitout build is of a very high standard. We would highly recommend Bluecrow to any restaurateur.

As designers we have come to realise the importance of working with good contractors who understand the vision of the project and can deliver a product to a high standard. Blacksheep working with Bluecrow have successfully delivered 2 restaurant projects that not only look good but have a certain quality that can only be felt. Dear Simon, Last night Bill and Granger and Co won the Conde Nast Traveller Innovation and Design Award in the category Gourmet. We shared the award with the Delaunay. We are completely thrilled about this! Thank you for yours and your team’s work on the restaurant. This is a wonderful validation of our efforts to create a fabulous restaurant! I contracted Bluecrow Projects after talking to several references and because they came highly recommended by my design/architect firm. The trigger of my decision was the personal approach of Simon and John (the partners) towards their projects. Simon took care personally of my project and this kept me at ease.
